Long and angular are two words that help describe this elevated, easy-to-install deck. The 750-square-foot design is contained in a single level, but the many changes in angles along the perimeter provide interest. The deck can be reached from indoors via the dining room and the master bedroom. The deck area outside the dining room extends farther out from the house, creating a perfect spot for setting up a table and chairs for open-air dining or relaxing. Sliding doors from the master bedroom take you out onto a narrower, rectangular section of the deck, which is somewhat separate from the dining area. Benches follow the angles of the perimeter, and are protected with a railing. Two stairways, one near the dining alcove, the other across from the master-bedroom doorway, provide access to the ground level.
