Much like a split-bedroom house plan, this is a split-deck design. One deck is more private, located outside the master bedroom. A section in the farthest left-hand deck is elevated to accommodate a whirlpool spa, an area that can be modified to suit manufacturer's specifications. Privacy screening repeats the same lines as this elevated section. In this instance, the screening is a simple construction of vertical boards, while built-in benches provide seating. Two steps down to the ground level, a brick walk serves as a guide to the family activities deck. The wide expanse between the two decks allows use of both simultaneously without interference between deck areas. This lower level functions as a separate outdoor room, with space for a table and chairs. A wet bar, tucked into a corner, helps reduce trips indoors for refreshments, a special touch to a highly appealing design. This 950-square-foot deck could be the perfect plan for summer or winter decking. Locate one deck in the shade, such as beneath a large tree; locate the other in a spot that will be bathed in plenty of winter sunshine.
