Multiple access--from the master bedroom, gathering room, and dining room--helps ensure this deck's utility. A table-and-chairs setting is positioned near the dining room to make it convenient to serve outdoor meals. The stairway is built wide in a striking V design. Additional custom features include built-in benches and planters. Railings, too, surround the perimeter of the decking for safety. In this example, latticework has been added to the railing for the enhanced feeling of privacy and enclosure.
