Plan details

The inspiration for this plan came directly from the 1878 edition of Bricknell's Victorian Buildings. At that time, the estimated building cost for this lovely residence, including mantels made or marble, was only $2500. One hundred and twenty-five years later, the cost of constructing this dwelling may have dramatically changed, but its handsome charm remains constant. A large foyer welcomes visitors to the home. Modern families will appreciate the open and spacious kitchen with an attached keeping room. A step-in pantry and breakfast bar are other amenities that the occupants will enjoy. A separate living area at the front of the house will provide a quiet retreat from family activities. Above, the master bedroom has private access to a second floor porch.
