This unusual bowed-roof Cape is based on a cottage from the 17th Century. The curved roof was also known as a ship's bottom or rainbow roof. Otherwise, the house is a typical Cape, with two multi-pane windows on either side of the front door, all with full-length shutters. Inside is an outstanding plan with loads of livability. One raised-hearth fireplace warms the family room, while a second fireplace serves the sitting room. The kitchen area includes a work island, a pantry and a breakfast nook with access to the terrace and a pass-through to the family room. The master suite boasts two walk-in closets and a private bath with an extended vanity.
